Developing: Queensland Police say four people have been injured after reports of shots fired from a vehicle outside a licensed premises on Bryants Road in Loganholme, south of Brisbane, on Saturday evening.

In a statement published by the Queensland Police Service, police said they were on the scene of a shooting incident at Loganholme after reports were received at 8.15pm. The statement said four people had been injured and transported to hospital, and that their conditions were being assessed.

Police said the vehicle involved was seen leaving the scene. They added that there was not believed to be any ongoing threat to the public.

Several social-media posts before and after the police update described the incident as a shooting outside Fitzy’s Loganholme during a boxing event, but those claims were not official confirmation by themselves. An X account identifying as GaryNoddy posted that four people had been shot in a drive-by shooting at a boxing event in Loganholme at about 8.15pm, while another post from Native Team Agency referred to police and ambulance activity outside Fitzy’s after a shooting.

At this stage, police have confirmed the location, time and injury count, but have not released further details about the victims, the condition of those injured, or any arrests. The force said anyone with information should contact police.

More information is expected as investigators continue to piece together what happened outside the venue.
