Salem, New Hampshire, police are searching for Daquahan Cromer, whom they describe as armed and dangerous, and have urged residents within a mile of Millville and Taylor streets to shelter in place. The Boston Globe reported late Tuesday, Oct. 27, that police said Cromer was last seen near those streets wearing a white tank top and dark pants.
Police say Cromer is wanted as a fugitive from justice, has an escape warrant from New Hampshire State Prison and is connected to multiple felonies in Salem. WHDH reported that residents in the Church Avenue, Route 28 and Granite Avenue areas had also been asked to shelter in place. The Salem police notice shared in a post by Joe Sweeney gave the one-mile area around Millville and Taylor streets and asked people to report suspicious activity.
Boston 25 News reported that Cromer is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, about 215 pounds, with a heavy build, short dreadlocks and a short dark beard. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
The supplied reports describe an ongoing search but do not provide a later update saying Cromer has been found or that the shelter-in-place request has been lifted. Anyone in the affected area should follow current instructions from Salem police.
